KUPILKA means, "small cup". It is derived from, "Kuppi", the Finnish word for cup. It comes from the time before the First World War when Finnish women and men during the harsh Finnish winters have warmed their hands while drinking from the "Kupilka" or "small cup".
Today, the company KUPILKA manufactures outdoor tableware, cutlery and survival products in the Finnish town of Kontiolahti from a specially developed biomaterial made of natural fiber.
The love of nature and a long friendship connect Adler tools with KUPILKA.
.KUPILKA products are made from a biomaterial. The biomaterial consists of a natural fiber composite material composed of 50% wood fibers and 50% thermoplastic material (polypropylene).
Compared with standard plastic, the advantages of the natural fiber composite material, in addition to better heat resistance and longer service life, are mainly the solid construction. Another advantage is the ability to further process the material after production. Compared to wood, the material does not require maintenance. In addition, it does not absorb odors and is resistant to moisture.
