Was ist im Service „Ersatzstiel inkl. Montage & Nachschleifen" enthalten?
Die komplette Aufarbeitung deiner Axt oder deines Beils in unserem Werk in Waghäusel. Der Werkzeugkopf wird geprüft, sandgestrahlt, geschliffen und von Hand poliert, dann mit Rostschutz beschichtet.
Anschließend wählen wir den passenden Stiel aus, montieren ihn fachgerecht und schicken dir das Werkzeug nach einer Qualitätskontrolle wie neu zurück.
Wie läuft der Service ab?
In vier Schritten:
1. Du sendest Fotos deines Werkzeugs an shop@jswerkzeug.de.
2. Wir sagen dir, ob wir es wieder instand setzen können.
3. Du buchst den Service hier im Shop und schickst uns das Werkzeug zu.
4. Wir arbeiten es auf und senden es dir zurück.
Die Fotos vorab sind wichtig – so erfährst du vor dem Kauf, ob sich die Aufarbeitung lohnt.
Für welche Werkzeuge gilt der Service?
Nur für ADLER-Modelle: Rheinlandbeil, Rheinlandaxt, Yankeebeil, Yankeeaxt, Kanuaxt, Campingbeil, Spaltbeil, Spaltaxt und Super Spalter.

Wann lohnt sich die Aufarbeitung gegenüber einem neuen Werkzeug?
Immer dann, wenn der Kopf noch gut ist. Der geschmiedete Kopf ist das langlebige Teil und hat lebenslange Garantie auf das Metall; der Stiel ist ein Verschleißteil und darf brechen.
Eine gebrochene oder ausgeschlagene Stielverbindung ist deshalb kein Grund, das Werkzeug wegzuwerfen. Nachhaltiger ist es, den Kopf weiterzuverwenden – dafür gibt es diesen Service.
Muss ich den Stiel selbst wechseln können?
Nein, genau das nimmt dir dieser Service ab. Wir setzen den Stiel fachgerecht und verkeilen den Kopf nach Werksstandard.
Wenn du die Montage selbst machen willst, bieten wir die Stiele auch einzeln an: Ersatzstiel Äxte & Beile, inklusive Holz- und Metallkeilen zur Befestigung.
Welchen Stiel bekomme ich?
Einen Originalstiel aus US-Hickory, hergestellt nach denselben Standards wie der Stiel eines neuen Werkzeugs, in der Farbkombination rot/schwarz.
Hickory ist zäh und nimmt Schlagenergie auf, statt sie in die Hand weiterzugeben – bei Werkzeugen, die geschlagen werden, ist das der entscheidende Unterschied zu Esche.
Was passiert beim Nachschleifen mit dem Kopf?
Er wird zuerst sandgestrahlt, um Rost und alte Beschichtung zu entfernen. Danach wird die Schneide geschliffen und der Kopf von Hand poliert, zum Schluss mit Rostschutz beschichtet.
Eine geerbte oder lange ungenutzte Axt sieht danach aus wie neu – mit dem Unterschied, dass es dieselbe Axt geblieben ist.
Wo wird der Service ausgeführt?
In unserem eigenen Werk in Waghäusel, Deutschland, von erfahrenen Mitarbeitern – dort, wo die Werkzeuge auch geschmiedet werden. ADLER ist ein Familienbetrieb, 1919 gegründet, in vierter Generation.

Unfortunately, we're having trouble sending e-mails to you and we get error messages from your service provider every time. I am very sorry for this. This was the reason why you had the feeling, that you couldn't reach us.

After consulting our production manager, I have been informed that the shipment has been prepared for your tool, but unfortunately the hatchet did not pass our quality control. The reason for this is we are unable to offer you a replacement handle to fit the hatchet head sent to you, as it is an older model and the handle size has changed in the meantime. This was not visible in the photo you have sent us beforehand.

The tool heads are forged exclusively from tested carbon steels (C60 or C45), ground extra sharp and coated with rust protection. We manufacture our tool handles from original US hickory or European ash. Both types of wood are explicitly specified by DIN for forestry tools. On all Axes & Hatchets, the handle end is finished with a special anti-slip coating. This means your tool always sits securely in your hand, whether with gloves or without.
