I had an older Adler axe (holzaxt 2000g) which is great to but needed some more power for splitting the bigger twisted logs.
This super splitter is a great tool for that!
Beautifull axe, heavy wedged head, grippy handle, looks cool,... very nice.
The handle on my old axe was a little bit longer though, i wonder if maybe that would be good for this super splitter as well. More power but perhaps harder to wield.
Good quality/price as well!

Ich habe diese Spaltaxt erworben um damit Brennholz zu zerkleinern.
Die Axt liegt gut in der Hand, das Gewicht ist ein guter Mittelwert zwischen Spalthammer und leichterer Axt, die Spaltwirkung ist enorm. Auch länger gesägte Stammstücke lassen sich gut spalten.
Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass die Axt zusätzlich mit einem Schutz für den Stiel versehen ist, und dass die Lackierung extra rutschhemmend gestaltet ist.

I pitted this splitter against my granfors bruk splitting maul. The Adler is in a different league. The only improvement they could make is to offer a 900mm handle to the tool. Cheers

Genau so wollt ich es haben, handlich und scharf

J'ai fendu beaucoup de bois feuillus pour le chauffage (hêtre, charme, chêne, etc.) et c'est le meilleur merlin que j'ai utilisé.
En France, la plupart des usagers ne jurent que par 2 marques aux manches composites. Hors, le merlin Adler en bois permet d'absorber les vibrations efficacement, et ça compte beaucoup lorsqu'on fend toute une journée.
Ensuite, la tête est parfaite : elle est tranchante, solide, d'un poids idéal mais surtout d'une forme permettant de fendre en un coup.
Je fends environ 40 stères par an de bois vert et j'ai trouvé l'outil parfait.
Petit plus, j'ai eu un léger défaut sur le manche : le service Adler a tout de suite pris en compte ma demande et m'a renvoyé gratuitement un de rechange.
Adler, c'est sérieux ! Je recommande à 100%
