What sets the Adler Throwing Hatchet apart:

  • Expert Input: The Adler Throwing Hatchet was co-designed with the insights and feedback of axe throwing league pros. It reflects the knowledge of those who know the sport inside and out, making it a top choice for those seeking precision and performance in a streamlined, non-nonsense package.
  • League Compliance:  We meticulously measured and adapted the blade length (3.94 in) handle length (15.75 in) and weight of the hatchet (1.95 lbs) to be completely compliant for all pro leagues worldwide.
  • German Craftsmanship: Crafted in Germany by Adler, a trusted name with over a century of experience in axe manufacturing, this hatchet represents the pinnacle of quality and tradition. Every detail is carefully considered, ensuring a product that stands the test of time.
  • Timeless Rheinland Head: The classic German Rheinland head shape isn't just for aesthetics; it's designed to deliver consistent, accurate throws, empowering you to hit the bullseye with precision, just like the pros. In comparison to our standard Rheinland Hatchet we adapted the blade length to be league compliant.
  • Original US Hickory Handle: The handle is expertly fashioned from authentic US sourced hickory wood, known for its strength and durability. It's built to withstand countless throws and enhance your grip, providing the control you need for accurate throws.
  • Two Distinct Versions: Choose from two exceptional versions of the Adler Throwing Hatchet. The Natural Handle celebrates the raw beauty and texture of hickory, while the Painted Handle features a grip lacquer for improved handling, allowing you to tailor the hatchet to your preferences.

ADLER QUALITY

Enjoy your time in nature! Our axes & hatchets are designed for maximum functionality and ergonomic handling, so you do not have to worry about the right tool. The tool heads are forged exclusively from tested carbon steels (C60 or C45), extra sharp and coated with rust protection. We manufacture our tool handles from original US Hickory or European Ash. Both types of wood are explicitly required for forestry tools by the German Institute for Standardization. The handle of all axes & hatchets is coated with a special anti-slip lacquer. This ensures that your tool always lies securely in your hand, whether you are wearing gloves or not.

SINCE 1919

We love nature and we love working outside in the fresh air. With our tools we want to help you to discover your love of nature. Since the year 1919, we have been manufacturing highest quality tools in the city of Waghäusel, Germany. As one of the last tool manufacturers in Europe, we combine wood processing and forging under one roof. In doing so, we highly value sustainability: We exclusively use FSC-certified European ash wood or original US hickory and water-based paints. Our entire company is heated by wood chips that are a by-product of our own production.
